Selling During COVID-19

If you are selling your primary property, we can schedule a video call and you can walk me through your home and we can go from there. If you are selling your cottage or secondary home, we can visit it and come up with a Comparative Market Analysis.

We also can provide you with great ideas on how to get your property to sell quickly for the most money. We can provide you a staging checklist and also give you advice during a video call.

We offer professional photography and a 3D tour so that Buyers get a great feel for your property. We take extra care while in your home. We would ask you to not be home while we are there. We would also ask you to leave the lights on and door open. We would strive to touch as little as possible and wear protective gear. We would also wipe down any surfaces we may touch.

All signing from listing to close may be completed electronically. E-signatures have been acceptable in Real Estate since July 2015.

We encourage Buyers to virtually look at your property but if they find it imperative to view it personally, we have COVID-19 procedures to be followed and a declaration to be signed by those viewing the property.

We will submit all offers to you electronically to review and discuss. It will then be sent back and you will be able to quickly click through and “sign” it.

We strongly recommend home inspections on all homes and cottages that we sell. We ask that you are not home at this time and we will have the Home Inspector adhere to the COVID-19 procedures and sign a declaration.

In order to ensure the close of your real estate deal, we will include COVID-19 clauses that will protect you.

Upon closing, many lawyers now provide the ability to sign closing documents remotely. We prefer that the key to your home/cottage be hidden at the property or left in the lockbox so that the Buyers don’t have to drive to their lawyer’s office.
